Bio

One of my passions has always been photography, early on I had a darkroom in my basement where I would process black and white, color photos and slides. Then I progressed to copy and restoration photography, combining my passion for photography with my keen interest in history. I had the good fortune to become friends with people who were professional photographers, and through them, I learned a great deal. Following my retirement, I decided to expand my wildlife photography capabilities by acquiring large telescopic lenses. Then, I began experimenting with camera trap photography, developing and constructing much of my own equipment. Recently, I acquired a drone to even further expand my ability to create interesting images. So, in my portfolio, there will be just about anything that I may have thought of interest, plants, insects, fungi, birds, landscapes, and animals, large and small. I hope you find my efforts enjoyable.

Wildlife, including birds and small mammals, landscapes, plants, fungi, and pretty much anything I think will make an interesting subject. Some images obtained using camera trapping equipment, including Camtraptions and TRLcam sensors and triggers, Nikon cameras, and Nikon strobes including some equipment I have developed and built myself.
